Lead Learning Specialist (Teacher)

Victory Creative Learning is a non-traditional private school and homeschool program committed to providing a nurturing and individualized learning environment for K-5 students, including those with diverse abilities such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD, exceptional learners, and developmental delays. As the Lead Learning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and social needs of children from kindergarten through 5th grade within our neurodiverse friendly environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning for up to 10-12 students. Utilize positive interaction techniques to foster a nurturing learning environment.

  • Academic Support: Assess and track academic progress for students, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Prepare and implement tailored learning activities based on individual student needs.

  • Direct and Small Group Instruction: Provide direct instruction as well as facilitate small group learning sessions, ensuring that each student receives personalized support and attention.

  • Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate records of academic goals and progress, regularly updating parents and the school team on student performance.

  • Technical Proficiency: Possess technical skills to operate learning programs, manage emails, and use Microsoft Word for effective classroom management and communication.

  • Effective Communication: Establish and maintain positive communication with students, their families, and the school team to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

  • Neurodiverse Support: Demonstrate an understanding of neurodiversity and the ability to support students' academic and executive functioning needs effectively.

  • Subject Knowledge: Be knowledgeable in core content subjects such as ELA, math, science, and social studies, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Teaching certification or special education certification.

  • Prior experience working with diverse learners, including neurodiverse students.

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

  • Proficiency in using educational technology and software.

  • Excellent organizational skills to track student progress effectively.

  • Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Passion for supporting students with diverse abilities and fostering their academic growth.

Compensation

We are offering a part-time position with working hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. The starting salary for this position ranges from $16.50 to $20.00 per hour.

Teaching assistant

Victory Private School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of our students. This part-time position offers working hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with lead teachers to assist in classroom management and support daily instruction.

  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students to ensure comprehension of lesson materials.

  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of learning activities, adapting them to individual student needs.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.

  • Support students with diverse abilities, including those with learning differences and special needs.

  • Help maintain a well-organized and conducive learning space.

  • Assist in tracking and recording student progress and academic goals.

  • Communicate effectively with lead teachers, students, and parents to ensure a seamless learning experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is a plus).

  • Previous experience in an educational setting or as a teaching assistant is preferred.

Compensation
